She lives with her parents and brother. Her parents are uneducated tailors. They have to spend money for their two children. The parents try hard to give their daughter a better life. But they do not have enough to support the education of both children. She and her brother had to wake up early in the morning to support their mother in household activities and she would then rush to college.
When they became part of the CPSP Programme, she received invaluable financial and educational support. Now she had successfully completed her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Valluvar College of Science and Management during 2017-2018. During the campus interview, Nisha got selected as office admin in L&T Financial Services Company. She will join after five months and will receive INR 7000/- during her training period.
Few words from Nisha Mercy:
“My education depends upon the help from CPSP project. I feel very confident now. I also had a chance to meet my sponsor. I can’t forget that moment. I feel proud to be a first graduate in my family. Through the CPSP project I have fulfilled my dream. Now I got job”.
A few words from Kalaivani:
I would like to thank the God Almighty for all the opportunities that I had received from CPSP project which was a platform to achieve my goals. The CPSP project taught me to stay focused on my target even in the toughest times through many training programmes. I work now in a company and earn Rs.8,000/- per month. My family has always been supportive in my studies and in my career. I am now preparing for MBA course part-time so that I can secure a better job in future.” I gratefully remember my donor and thank for their generosity.

I am a beneficiary of Manos-CEEMA project. Before the start of this project, I was an ordinary farmer who did agriculture activities with my traditional wisdom. I attended many trainings in various aspects of agriculture and I have been trying to implement the same in my land.
I usually spend Rs.5,000/- to purchase chemical fertilizer. I am now using vermin-compost for my agricultural activities. I can see the difference on the soil. I also sell vermin-compost.
I had also received tree saplings such as lemon, pomegranate, guava, amla, brinjal, and green chilly. I planted it in my land and I expect good yield in future. I also received green fodder seeds from CEEMA, which I am using to produce fodders to feed my milch animals.

I lost my husband five years back. My only daughter is studying in 10th Std. We are small farmers and I need to work hard to support my family. In my difficult time CEEMA staff came to my door and explained about their program for the support of small farmers and invited me for the training. During the first training itself I got the confidence and I continued to attend all training programs throughout this year.
From CEEMA, they had provided cow grass seed to the farmers and I too attended the meeting and got the seed. It was very useful. The training on Animal Husbandry helped me to manage my cattles and now I have enough of fodder for my cattles through which I am able to increase my income.
I want to thank CEEMA for their timely support by giving us the Pasipayir and Naripayir it was given during the rainy season and I am happy that I got 75 kg pasipayir and 100 kg of Naripayir harvested. Since I am a widow I struggle a lot to come up in life. Now I have confidence that I can manage my family and I can give good education to my daughter. All the trainings that CEEMA organized were very useful and gave me confidence. Now I am also one of the board members of Farmer Producer Organization which is going to start very soon. Thanks to Manos Unidas & CEEMA.
